As you probably know, Dr. Hashimi and her family have been involved with Camp Rap-A-Hope camp for quite some time. In fact, for each patient referral Access MD receives, we make a small donation to the camp.
This year’s camp promises to be a great success for all those children who attend. Please check out their new website here. By being a patient here at Access MD, you are indirectly supporting this great cause!
The New York Time recently ran an article on some dietary supplement products that had some chemicals “hidden” in their ingredients. The particular chemical agent is called BMPAE.
We mention this story to make sure everyone knows that they need to be very careful when adding supplements to their daily intake. Supplements are to some great degree not regulated by the FDA or any other government watchdog agency.
Patients can contact us for further information on what you may be currently taking.

What is in the name of a medical practice?
As you would expect, when we opened Access MD a few years ago we considered a few different business names.
We decided on the name “Access MD” to differentiate this practice from traditional primary care practices as to how easy it was to communicate with us on both short term health issues and long term needs.
You probably already know this but here are a few benefits which Access MD offers to its patients:
Same day or next day appointments
Access to me through my own personal cell phone number.
Annual exams
A small practice size
We are able to continue to offer these benefits in spite of our practice gaining more acceptance each month from the Mobile community.
Please know we welcome all communication with you in whatever form it takes, as this leads to a healthier and more productive “you”.
