This article sums up nicely one of the major issues with the current healthcare insurance system. Deductibles are so high that many people forgo needed medical help.
There are different definitions of “underinsured” but it is safe to say that between high deductibles and ever rising premiums the number of people not seeking out the necessary help will continue to rise.

Of course, that is what Access MD is all about. Our annual fee continues to become more of a value with each passing year.
Ok, we know this post is a little bit out of the realm of health news but we thought it would be fun to highlight some good reading options for the beach this summer.

Everyone knows that exercise is good for your health. A few recent studies have attempted to measure what type and frequency of exercise creates the most benefits.
This New York Times article outlines the results of these studies. Two takeaways to share are these – that a little over one hour a day of exercise creates tremendous benefits for a person, and that if this includes a good bit of vigorous exercise the benefits are even greater.
We hope all of our patients exercise regularly. If you have questions about what type of exercise we would suggest please contact us.
