You may not know that Access MD offers Executive and Corporate Packages in addition to our regular membership package.
More information on these programs can be found from this link to our website.
Executives sometimes have different needs than our other patients. In addition, our corporate packages are designed to be specific to a company’s needs. So whether you are a law firm or a manufacturing company, we can create a package that meshes nicely with your current health insurance plan and the needs of your leadership team or entire firm or company. The right plan could even lower your current premiums or deductibles due to fewer claims made by your associates or employees.
Just call us for more information.

With the recent election results, we are almost certainly going to see major changes in healthcare laws. The current system has proven to be too expensive and unwieldy.
Of course, no one knows exactly what changes are coming. And those changes will not happen overnight, regardless of how many people are hurting right now due to the current situation with Obamacare and the Insurance Companies.
As for Access MD, we will continue to focus on what we have always focused on. We will continue to offer exceptional care, accessibility, and be able to do this by limiting the size of the practice.
The healthcare laws might change, and insurance coverage might be altered, but Access MD will continue to provide the same care I have provided for the last four years.
As we age, skin cancer becomes more of a factor in our lives, especially living in a climate like Mobile’s where we live and play outside for most of the year.
We thought this “body mole map” was very interesting as a way to monitor changes in skin conditions. You can print this form out and keep it handy for self exams. You can then write down changes as they occur and stay on top of any issues which might develop.
Of course, during your annual Access MD exam we can cover any skin conditions. But as always, we want patients to call us at any time for immediate concerns you might have.
As you know, each year October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Here in Mobile we have the “Making Strides of South Alabama” event set for Saturday, October 29 at the Bienville Square. At this point, about 1,500 people are participating and over $75,000 has been raised.
Please click here for more information and see how you can participate.
Annual flu shots have been with us for quite some time and my experience has been that getting a flu shot at this time of the year can help maintain good health through the winter season. If you have questions before coming in, please call me and we can go over why I think they are important.
Please know that over 200,000 people a year are hospitalized due to the flu every year.
In the meantime, Piedmont Healthcare over in Atlanta posted a page with ten reasons why you should consider annual flu shots.

As you would expect, we see many patients on a weekly basis and because of this know that those patients who get regular exercise are the ones who are healthiest. This is why we suggest regular exercise as much as anything else as a way to maintain the best health possible.
If you are looking for a good starting point during this great fall weather, a daily, brisk walk is a great start any exercise regimen. A walk can be fit in at any time during the day or early evening.
So walking every day is a great start. Of course, there are many more directions you can take. We are blessed here in Mobile with a lot of different fitness options, including fitness centers, running trails, and more.
Exercise can, and should, be a part of everyone’s daily life if at all possible. Fall is a great time of the year to start an exercise program or build on one you already have.
When you come into our offices, let’s speak about what level of exercise might be appropriate for you.
We wanted to post a blog entry to make sure practice members know to call us with any health related question, no matter how unimportant it may seem. Small issues can become large issues, and by dealing with them early on we can assist you in taking better care of yourself.
So patients – call us when you need us. As an Access MD patient you should have Dr. Hashimi’s personal number. We are here to serve!
We wanted to post just a short note here on how much we value our patients telling their friends and family members about the services we offer here at Access MD Concierge Medicine.
We do some low-key advertising around the Mobile area, supporting those groups and organizations we feel most strongly about. As you might know, Camp Rap-A-Hope is one of our favorites. But overall we rely on our current patients to get the word out about what we are offering at Access MD.
We do have some brochures for anyone you know who could benefit from working with us. Just let us know who to mail a few of these brochures to and we will send them out pronto!
As always, we appreciate your support of our efforts here at Access MD.
