You may have noticed over the past few months an increase in the number of phone calls you have received from the clinic. We may have been checking on your status from recent clinic visits or just checking in to say hello. At Access MD, we strive to stay connected with all of our patients when you are sick and when you are doing well.
We want to know what is the best way to contact you. During your next visit to the clinic, please make sure we have your updated email address and phone number on file. Just a friendly reminder, texting is not considered a secure form of communication. So, please do not text any personal information to the office phone. This is to ensure the privacy and safety of your information.
Additionally, our practice offers a convenient and easy way to view your health chart and information from home through our CareCloud Patient Portal. Within the Patient Portal, you can view labs, diagnostic tests, your medication list, vital signs, recent office notes and so much more. Are you connected to the Patient Portal? If not, we can send a new invitation to your preferred email with a temporary password to login and create your Patient Portal account. To access the Patient Portal please visit the Access MD website by clicking here. Once you are on the website, you will see an option at the bottom of the page for “Patient Login” to sign in to the Patient Portal.
Please, help us help you stay connected with the practice and your healthcare. Don’t hesitate to call with any questions you may have or to offer updated contact information.

We are fortunate that Access MD is growing due almost entirely to referrals from our current patients. These referrals are much appreciated. This allows more focus on patient care and not on marketing or publicity.
With respect to those referrals you send to us, we first do an initial consultation (at no obligation) to any new perspective patient. As you know, the “concierge” model is different than what traditional practices use. Because of this, we like to explain what those difference are, and answer any questions that may come up.
Additionally, we like to make sure that the perspective patient is a good fit for the Access MD model, just so that we can maintain the high level of service we have always offered.
As you mention Access MD to family and friends, let them know of this process and that they are in no way under any obligation to become a patient with us.
One of the reasons we have been successful here in Mobile is the initial screening process we use. We view the practice as a “family”, and this has made a great difference in the quality of care we can provide

The program includes an Executive Physical and Health Plan that is tailored to those who at this stage of their lives stay very busy with their jobs and need to have a health care plan in place to be able to perform at a high level in their professional capacity.
We also offer a Corporate Plan which can encompass all executives within a company.
Of course, we attempt to provide excellent care for all of our patients. But we also recognize different people have different needs due to their life situation.

You can mingle, sip wine, shop designer fashions, and bid on auction lots. Last year’s event was a great success and this year’s gala promises to be just as much a success for Camp-Rap-A-Hope and the children it serves.

After four years of building the Access MD practice, I have noticed certain trends as my patient base grows.
One trend I am now seeing is that larger numbers of younger people are becoming Access MD patients. Even though patients in their 30s and 40s have fewer chronic health issues, they are beginning to find great value in our concierge, or “membership medicine” practice.
Since these patients are very busy working full-time and raising families, they are enjoying the convenient options of emailing, texting, or calling me to set up appointments or to discuss acute care problems.
A good number of these younger patients come to us through family members who are also Access MD patients. Serving multiple generations within the same families is an added benefit to this trend, as it also allows me to offer even better healthcare as I become acquainted with entire families.
As you know, I set introductory appointments with any new potential patients before they officially become Access MD patients. If you have younger family members who would benefit from what Access MD offers, please have them call to set up a time to meet.
